Library

A Library is the heart of an educational institution and plays a great role in the life of students by serving as the store house of knowledge. It imparts information to all the students as well as Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff in order to attain inductive information and knowledge. Thus, the main motive of the Library is to maintain an amicable learning environment and provide right books or right information to the right users at the right time.

Objectives of the Library:

  1. Be the knowledge hub of the school and disseminate knowledge as widely as possible.
  2. To encourage and foster reading habit among Staff and Students.
  3. To originate and support literacy initiatives and activities in the school.
  4. To provide materials that enrich and support the curriculum and meet the needs of the Staff and Students.
  5. To provide for the leisure reading needs of the students.
  6. To prepare the students as an intelligent aware, informative and enlightened to play the role of a responsible citizen.
  7. To remain technologically advanced and updated.

Library Rules:

  1. All Students and Staff of the school are members of the Library.
  2. Library card should be obtain from the Librarian on payment Rs.50/- . No books will be allowed to be issued or borrow without Library membership card.
  3. Students can borrow 2 books at a time and for maximum period of 7 days, which can be renewed on or before the due date.
  4. A Staff members can borrow maximum 5 books at a time for a period of one month.
  5. If the books are not returned within the specified time it will be viewed seriously and fine will be charged as per rules.
  6. Library card are not transferable. The borrower is responsible for the book borrowed on his\her card. In case a Library card is lost, it should be reported immediately to the Librarian.
  7. Marking, Underlining or writing on Library books, Periodicals, Newspapers is strictly forbidden.
  8. Reference books and current periodicals will not be issued to any member. These can be consulted only in the Library.
  9. All books are to be used with care. If a books is misused, wrongly handled or lost the person concerned will have to replace the book or pay the current market price of the book.
  10. No personal belonging allowed inside the Library. The Staff is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings.
  11. After reading make sure that the books, Periodicals and Newspaper are kept back at their respective places.
  12. Used of intoxicants, eatables and drinks are not allowed in the Library premises.
  13. Strict order and silence shall be maintained in the Library.
  14. Library remains open from 9:00 Am to 3:30 Pm on all working days.
