RAINBOW WEEK
Theme: A Rainbow of Diversity
To emphasise celebration of individual and cultural differences, the theme “Rainbow” was chosen for the cultural day observation at the Foundational stage.
Students came to school wearing their favourite colours.
The day focused on art activities.

Independent Activities -
Activity: Paper Lanterns
Skills: Fine Motor Skills, Listening and Following instructions
Description: Students made paper lanterns from scrap paper, it was later used to decorate their classroom teaching them the value of recycling and fostering a sense of community by decorating their classroom together.
Activity: Paper Headbands
Skills: Measuring, Fine Motor, Listening and Following instructions
Description: Students made their own headbands using rainbow coloured paper making the concept of measuring a comprehensible and fun activity.
Group Activities -
Activity: Palm Printing
Skills: Communication, Team work
Description: Each class made a poster of their handprints in the colours of the rainbow symbolising the beauty of working together to create something beautiful and meaningful.
